Parkour Without Fear Of Death With New VR Game Lemma

Movies buffs or fitness buffs out there have probably seen the art of Parkour although you may never have heard of the term. Parkour is a training discipline using movement developed from military obstacle course training. Parkour experts aim to get from A to B in the most efficient way possible.

For an example of Parkour check out the opening scene from Casino Royale:

All this looks very dangerous and of course please don’t try this at home. Except wait, you can try this at home thanks to Solo developer Evan Todd who will release Lemma on May 12 after nearly five years of development. This immersive first-person parkour game enables creative building through movement. Spawn structures just by moving through space. Extend platforms, smash through walls, and build new ones, all through Parkour moves.

Set in a surreal, physics-driven voxel world that responds to your actions, Lemma's single-player story line unfolds through text messages on an in-game mobile phone.

The game features native Oculus Rift support, challenge levels, a built-in level editor, and Steam Workshop integration. It will be available for $15 on Windows through Steam, Humble, and

Lemma VRCircle Rating
Nausea in VR is a very personal thing. I am personally pretty susceptible to it. Whilst running in the Lemma game the screen simulates the art of running by moving from side to side. This (for me at least) reduces the time I can play this in VR. The graphics are smooth and very playable and overall this is a good VR experience. Unlike many of the VR games today the menus are fully readable.
