SightLine: The Chair Updated For Oculus Rift and HTC Vive

April 2015 I first tried Sightline the Chair, which remains one of the best VR experiences out there. The Apollo 11 experience is also way up there. Developer Tomáš Mariančík (aka Frooxius) has now released Sightline the chair for both the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive consumer versions.

When the Chair was first released, it was often touted as the best demo to show your friends who have never yet experienced Virtual Reality. Today, even with some great demos from Oculus such as the Dinosaur corridor run or robot repair on the Vive, the Chair is still one of my favorites.

Known Issues

Some people have experienced a flashing white strobe effect when the demo starts on the Oculus Rift. For those users, try the HTC Vive version which does work on the Rift. If you use the Oculus Rift built-in headphones, you'll also need to set the default headphones to the Rift.
