Techland, the developer of Dying Light have been working closely with Virtual Reality techies at Oculus to support the Oculus Rift, although unfortunately it won't be available until the headset is officially released.
Dying Light is as a first-person, action survival horror game set in a vast and dangerous open world. We do not yet know what the control mechanism will be for the game, presumably they are working with Oculus on that too.
Techland describes the game as:
"During the day, players traverse an expansive urban environment overrun by a vicious outbreak, scavenging the world for supplies and crafting weapons to defend against the growing infected population,"
"At night, the hunter becomes the hunted, as the infected become aggressive and more dangerous. Most frightening are the predators which only appear after sundown. Players must use everything in their power to survive until the morning’s first light."
I really love the idea of a Zombie VR game. It will be great to watch your friends play it too. The Oculus Rift CV1 may only be months away, but it cannot come soon enough!
