Oculus announced today that it will be releasing Quill for FREE on December 6 alongside the launch of Oculus Touch motion controllers.
Quill was originally built as a custom tool for Art Director Wesley Allsbrook to assist in creating the Oculus Story Studio original film, Dear Angelica.
Quill allows for much more than simple art play by providing sophisticated editing tools and layering options that make the most of the new Touch motion controllers. The HTC Vive has the Google created Tilt Brush, which is certainly fun to play with. Quill provides a more 3D oil painting like experience.
Quill be available for free on December 6 in the Oculus Home Store and will require the new $199 Touch motion controllers.
