Facebook Ordered to Pay $500 Million in Lawsuit

In case you are not aware. Facebook/Oculus were being sued for a few dollars. $4 Billion + to be exact. This week, Facebook were ordered to $500 Million dollars in the case. It is a lot of money, but it could have been much worse.

The case revolved around ZeniMax Media (Owner of Doom) claiming Oculus VR co-founder Palmer Luckey along with now CTO of Oculus John Carmack, relied on technology from Doom. The lawsuit also accused Carmack and Luckey of taking proprietary code just before leaving Id software to join Oculus.

So it looks like Luckey has cost them a few dollars. I expect he'll go back into hiding which is where he has been since he was found to be funding a pro-Trump political organization.
