Ever wondered what Facebook has in store after its acquisition of Oculus Rift in 2014?
Last week during the Oculus Connect 3 Conference, Mark Zuckerberg introduced the future of Facebook messaging. Users can be in a virtual reality setting using the Oculus Rift Touch controllers to make their avatar emulate emotions such as being happy or sad.
Oculus is gearing up towards making VR a more social environment through connecting avatars in gameplay and real-life like scenes. Avatars can play cards with one another, answer Facebook messenger calls, and even snap selfies all while in a virtual reality. Adding more lifelike avatars into the VR will help make gaming more social, especially if you are playing with your gaming spouse or significant other. You won’t feel so isolated playing games against each other because you will see each other via the avatar.
