Pick up a FREE VR Headset with Purchase of LG G3 Phone

Looking for a new phone? If so then the LG G3 may be a decent option for VR fans since LG are giving away their new VR headset with the purchase of the G3. The G3 was one of the first UHD displays at 2,560x1,440 which helps to provide for a minimal screen-door effect when viewed through a VR headset.

LGs VR headset is essentially a plastic version of Google Cardboard built to fit the G3 perfectly. Although built for the G3 any Google Cardboard app will work. Therefore the G3 VR headset utilizes the same VR content library found in the Google Play Store.

Just like Cardboard, VR for G3 features a neodymium ring magnet on the side that works with the magnetic gyroscope sensor in the G3 which allows the user to switch applications and scroll through menus without the need for a touchscreen display.

No assembly is required just add the G3 and let your VR journey begin. The LG G3 is available for various prices on contract going up to $450 here in the US if you wish to purchase off contract.

However there is one BIG caveat here. The LG G4 will be announced very shortly on April 28 with availability in stores a few weeks later. The G4 is rumored to feature the same 2,560x1,440 screen measuring 5.6 inches along with the usual CPU/GPU upgrades.

There is always something better just around the corner in the world of technology. However with the G4 launch so close the waiting game may be the game to play.
