The Samsung Gear 360 was first introduced back in February at Mobile World Congress. Now in July, The Gear 360 is "almost" available. The camera’s official US availability comes on an extremely limited basis, as it’s put up for purchase at the VidCon convention (Online video get together) in Anaheim, California with a price of $350.
The limited availability comes as Samsung rethinks its VR video service. They decided to drop the ridiculous sounding “Milk” name for its video content, instead going with Samsung VR. Users can upload and share video content created on the Gear 360 and then viewable through the Gear VR headset.
