Well folks. Today is the day when Gear VR consumer version starts shipping (for those in the US).
International pre-orders are starting now.

For VR fans in the US you can purchase from Amazon, Best Buy and AT&T stores. Best Buy and AT&T have demos available so if you've not tried VR yet, then head on over and try it out!

I recommend you try Gunjack by CCP games where you step into the boots of a Gunjack, a hired gun where your job is to shoot everything that moves. Gunjack could be described as Eve: Valkyrie "light" for mobile.

If you're looking to pick up a Gear VR you may also want to consider a wireless controller if you don't already have one. Oculus recommends the Bluetooth Steelseries Stratus XL which works for both Windows + Android for around $70.

So assuming you already own a compatible Gear VR phone (Note 5, S6, S6 Edge and S6 Edge+) your total cost of mobile VR would be $99 + $70 for a total of less than $200.
Not bad.
