The HTC Vive is heading wireless with official support from HTC at CES 2018

Announced today at CES 2018, HTC will be releasing a wireless solution for their HTC Vive VR Headset (Regular and Pro versions.)

The Vive Wireless Adaptor features Intel’s WiGig technology that offers high-speed data connections over short distances. The WiGig solution offers a premium VR wireless experience that operates in the interference-free 60Ghz band, which means lower latency and better performance. The Vive Wireless Adaptor will ship in Q3 to customers worldwide. No official pricing was announced.
