Back in early, February, the makers of Apollo 11 started a Kickstarter campaign for their new project, Titanic VR.

Titanic VR

The campaign aimed to raise €50,000 EUR by 2nd March, with a range of funding tiers available from €5 all the way up to €6,000 with the €3,000 option getting you to Ireland to have yourself scanned and become a member of the experience!

The campaign raked in €57,095, easily beating their €50,000 goal!

The team has some of the most comprehensive maps and 3D models of the wreck site which they are using to create a realistic exploration experience. The team is also using motion capture, face-scanning technology, and professional voice actors to immerse users in the story and relate to the people involved. The goal is to create an accurate portrayal of events, so it is not only educational but also emotional and very engaging. Apollo 11 brings most people to tears, so I have high hopes this experience may bring me to my emotional knees as well...
